There are some free classes on Long Island for dog owners only, it's a 'people only' event, but I hear there might be some goodie bags for the guests attending.

Honeybark might very well be going in a whole new direction this year. The website will be under construction for a bit but everything is fully functional. Hoping to really push forward with some new ideas, treats and activities.
We will be hosting a party in the Spring of 2009 so keep your eyes out for that event!

Yes there are Free! Responsible Dog Ownership Classes on LI. I am the creator, one of the teachers and organizer of them. The next class is today, Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 6 pm in Islip. I have room for about 2 more people, but would need to know by 3 pm today. Here is more inforamtion below!

The Town of Islip is offering this class twice a month to all residents with the next few classes on:
WEDNESDAY, January 7th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WEDNESDAY, January 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WEDNESDAY, February 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WEDNESDAY, February 18th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WEDNESDAY, March 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WEDNESDAY, March 18th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Each one-time Free Responsible Dog Ownership Class ©
will teach the basics such as:
Puppy and Dog Behavior
Basic Training Advice and Techniques
Children and Dogs
Dog Park Etiquette
Nutrition/Health and Well Being
NYS Dog Laws
This class is for people ONLY, so please leave your dogs at home. (No dogs are allowed in the class, so please leave them at home!) Parents are encouraged to bring kids over the age of 10. The class will feature local trainers, vets, and other dog related professionals. There will also be a “doggie” bag with special treats and learning materials for you and your dog!
