The Holidays are here!

We've been gearing up for the holidays, Katie and I are creating the holiday treat collection including the gingerbread men that we call, "Everything Nice." These are big sized treats for the large dogs and small treats or mini treats for the little dogs. I've packed them in a cute little bag with a bright red holiday bow or a sky blue bow for those little Hanukkah dogs!

My other treats include mini Christmas trees, Noah's ark animals (it's a biblical theme), angels, bells and stars. I've got an idea for cranberry treats but haven't had the time to work on the recipe yet. I'm too busy packing holiday treats for my current customers and sending out holiday gifts to my friends and their dogs.

I'm also packing to take my first vacation, much needed and this will be at the height of the season but what can I do? So sadly, I will have a lot to do when I come home from my trip.

The treats will be ready but it will be me that will be working 24/7 to get these gifts to their recipients on time for the holidays.

I also have big candy cane shaped treats too, it's actually an upside down "J" but isn't that what a cane IS?

Katie's Day of Beauty

Normally Katie is really a very sweet smelling dog. Most people think she smells really good and that her hair is fabulously soft. Kids love to stroke her back and grab her tail and Katie basically lets them do this to her with little to no reaction at all. She tolerates the attention but I don't know if it is the attention or the admiration that she enjoys. She is definitely a dog that loves her family though. I digress. So I found that Katie had a funky air about her one morning after we had been outside and her normal "eau de outdoor dog" was permeating with a pungent aroma coming from her hindquarters. "Blech!" I thought as I sniffed the air above her little quizzical expressioned face. I ran the bath and took down the massaging showerhead and in she went. I bathed her with a lovely shampoo given to me by an all organic products company and it was a jojoba shampoo with an incredibly great aroma. I love it. Katie loved it too. She didn't make her normal escape from the tub attempts. Plus, she lingered a bit in the warm soapy water after I had finished rinsing her coat. She looks amazing and her hair is incredibly soft and lustrous.
I want that shampoo for myself now! I also gave her a spritz of "Sexy Beast." She smells and looks like a million bucks now! Plus, she got to have a holiday treat and so she slept like a pup for the day.
