Apples

I changed my mind. I tried to use Macintosh in the apple treats and my treats resisted. The result was a lovely tray of soft treats but not quite the typical fare. I have to stick with Granny Smith apples because of a lower water content. I now know that the softer apples have more water and thus I need to adjust the baking time as well as the additional wet ingredients in my recipes. Too complicated. I will stick with the recipe next time.

4th of July

Happy stars and stripes, it's the new treat of the month time! Treat of the Month for July is Say Cheese Mini Stars. It's our featured treat because July is a patriotic star spangled month and the little stars are made with all natural, American Cheddar Cheese and apples. What better treat could there be?

Little men

My Everything Nice men are looking good these days. I've been noticing more people are getting them. It's a great little spicy treat. It's just got enough spice for Katie to stop and eat it, smell it, eat it, smell it, then eat the rest. She really likes it. Though, the Say Cheese stars recently had her following me everywhere. I have only tripped over her 3 times in the past two days so it's not that bad...well, yes it is! She's either getting shorter or more stealth. I can't hear her little paw nails clicking on the wood floor anymore so I think she is trying to be a little sneakier.

Do I smell bacon?

Yeah, I gotta go...my breakfast is ready!

BROADWAY BARKS!

July 14, 2007 at 3:30PM in Shubert Alley in NYC!

Check it out here:
http://www.broadwaybarks.com/

I absolutely must remind everyone that Broadway Barks is a great cause to help promote adoption of shelter animals. It was a really great success last year as in previous years and I encourage anyone who is looking for a pet to go and check it out. You can find some fabulous dogs and lots of information about animal adoption there.

I will be having a promotion of sorts, for every bag of Say Cheese Stars sold this month, I will donate an equal amount of treats to a shelter in addition to my normal donations.

I wish I could give more sometimes.
